Over the years, I have used Microsoft Word more and more for school. In elementary school, using computers were not as important and relevant as they were in middle and high school. In high school especially, writing papers and submitting assignments online were very common. Now in college, rarely do we ever turn in assignments in-person, but nearly every one of our assignments are turned in online. I write all of my papers on Microsoft Word and I use it nearly every day. Though I don't see my professors use Microsoft Word very often because most of their presentations are on PowerPoint, almost all of them use it to type out and submit their syllabus each semester. Word has become a very integral part of my education and I have become very familiar and comfortable with it over the years. An example of copyright and fair use of materials in an educational setting is one time in my TV production class, we had to make a video that was supposed to be a PSA. She told us that most like...

Technology has become a very important part of everyday life. It is important for students to be knowledgeable about technology, therefore teaching technology in the classroom is vital. Students must understand their role in society and their opportunities to expand their knowledge to the technological world. I am very familiar with my cell phone and social media, but when it comes to navigating on a computer, I am not always very tech savvy. I took a computer literacy class my freshman year but after I learned the lessons for the assignments, I tended to forget everything I had just learned because I did not use these skills after the assignment was turned in. I hope what I learn from this class will be valuable information that I can use for the future. I want to learn things that are useful in my everyday life and not things that I will forget about as soon as the assignments are submitted. I also hope to gain more of an appreciation for technology after this class. I feel that many people in this ge...
